So, what did you do for Earth Hour? I enjoyed a candle lit dinner party at a friends house. After realizing how nice it was to have the lights completely dimmed, we decided to NOT turn on the lights at 9pm. It was pretty awesome. Unfortunately, the view from the 18th floor of my friends condo provided a good glimpse of how many Torontonians were participating... the lit up city scape was a bleek reminder that MANY PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT.
I have seen various movements advocating to "turn it off" for 15 min in February (i believe it was).
I want to promote that great idea.
Think about it: No power for 15 min, none of anything to turn your hydro metre...
I want to see this happen everymonth on (let's say) the first monday between 7:00 and 7:15 pm. I want to do this, it's easy for me it's a big switch downstairs. How about you?
The next topic for discussion becomes....
What do you do during that time?
