I’m sorry but I have left the ranks of believers in this CO2 hurting the earth theory. It’s been 23 years now and none of the promised hell has happened. Iit’s obvious after 2 and half decades, the theory was wrong. BUT, that does not mean we should compromise at all. We DO need to find new technology but back in 1900 they wondered what to do with all of the horses needed by the year 2000. Oil IS bad for peace but let’s start embracing the future instead of fearing it. I would like everyone to face the future with optimism, bravery and healthy anticipation.

So, what did you do for Earth Hour?

I enjoyed a candle lit dinner party at a friends house. After realizing how nice it was to have the lights completely dimmed, we decided to NOT turn on the lights at 9pm. It was pretty awesome. Unfortunately, the view from the 18th floor of my friends condo provided a good glimpse of how many Torontonians were participating... the lit up city scape was a bleek reminder that MANY PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT.
