Right now you’re like an ostrich with its head in the sand. If you’re even remotely up to date on current events, then you should know that climate change is real, and it’s happening right now. Don’t wait for your government to go ahead and make changes. Don’t wait for big corporations to pitch in and change. Change what you are in control of changing. Focus on the simple, doable tasks. The actions are small, but they make waves that ripple far and affect others.

Hey, being a tree-hugger isn't that bad, and surfing while doing it is fun. And being 13 makes it a bit hard, but an adult can afford to by a smart car or put solar panels on the roof.

Every time someone tells me I can't make a difference, I'm only one person I quickly reply with "I may be only one person, but if everyone followed that principle, nothing would have ever gotten done." Being one person does mean I have difficulties to surmount and challenges before me, but the truth is, I'm not just one person, there a millions of others like me ho WANT to make a difference, who CAN make a difference and who ARE making a difference. Next time someone tells you you're only one person, what can you do? tell them "I may be one person, but I'm backed by millions".

What? You guys can't find something else in this world than a made up environmental problem to occupy your time that doesn't inflict made up rules on me? I quote from this website: "Global warming is affecting biodiversity, food systems, economies, human and animal life, and our living habits." Let's break it down: "Biodiversity" - trying to find ways of using the things on this planet that used to feed us to keep our cars running when the natural resources on this planet are not running out. "Food systems" - that were destroyed because of subsidized government grants given to companies to buy up farms for the "biofuel" industry. It's not natural disasters that have done that you know. "Economics" - the high prices of wheat, corn and grains that the "biodiversity corporations" created when they started using food for fuel instead of feeding the people of the planet. "human and animal life" - all the people in the third world that are not being fed by "World Vision" because they can't buy food to distribute to the poor. "our living habits" - single moms not being able to properly feed their children because of the high prices of food and staples that they used to be able to afford. As you can see it doesn't seem to be global warming that's the cause, but the "industry" that has been created to support you in doing your part. I'm sure there are more that I could come up with if I had time to write them out. Don't be fooled. These green corporation/ environmental experts are making WAY more money than you are...and I bet they drive really nice cars too...that run on....petrol! Can they afford the new food prices out there...I bet they can, because you guys just take this stuff as God's truth. Do your research...look at the "science"...the real science. Not the science that comes out of the foundations that have the most to gain from you believing them. Take it from the scientists who have nothing to gain. Al Gore had something to gain by making his "movie"...a nobel prize. Man...wake up people, please. Yes. I was always taught good stewardship of the planet...lights out when you leave a room, don't buy too much food so you have to throw it away, don't litter, don't over fish, punish the people responsible for environmental disasters like oil spills...but this has gone too far. Now we have an environmental disaster that seems to be killing people (food shortages)...not the planet. When did it become kill the people, save the planet? People are not dying because the world cannot produce the food to feed them, but because we are using that food to make our cars run "more efficiently".

I am actually glad that this came out because I was saying to all my friends for years and I'm only 16 years old myself. We should really do something to help the earth, because we as humans are wasters. You hear everyone saying that man-kind are only trying to improve the earth but its actually the complete opposite. The only way I can explain it is "The World Would Be Perfect Only For Man-Kind''.
