TROP TARD?
I am writing this email in regards to the FLICK OFF campaign. I am a 22 yr old male living in ON and the oldest of my 4 siblings.
First of all I want to say I am a strong supporter in saving our environment and global preservation, however I am disappointed and concerned with the method in which the Ontario Government has taken to reach our young people with this issue. Obviously the FLICK OFF campaign is mimicking the vulgar F*CK OFF term, trying to reach our young people. There is another way to get the message out to them without the government lowering itself to this disrespectful level. Your www.flickoff.org website contains terms such as "We need you to FLICK OFF, and tell everyone you know to FLICK OFF.", "The National FLICKFEST", "ARE WE FLICKED" & " GO FLICK yourself"--- > This is terrible and outrageous! The term "ARE WE FLICKED" is just like " ARE WE F*CKED" and means the same thing! The term FLICKFEST is like F*CKFEST which refers to sex parties. How is the Ontario Government promoting integrity, respect and positive values to our young people when it uses the term FLICK OFF? I am a 13 year old from Ottawa, I heard about Flick off on Muchmusic, i've always been interested in Global warming, and help stop it. Most of my friend make fun of me for some reason.
But, since Flick off started, more of my friend want to help, just because of the name.
It's just a name to attract the people who need to help most. Children.
So get over it. People of course at first glance think it says F*ck off. But it catches people eye.
Most people don't really care, so I don't know why your making such a big deal on the name.
At least its fun.

What each individual must ask themself is: "What is it that I really need in life? The gas guzzling $80,000. SUV or the ground to walk on and the sun to shine on my face?
Should Products that aren't recycable or biodegradeable be permitted to be in production? Of course NOT! (that shoulda been applied 25 yrs ago, no nevermind that - they never should have been permitted period!) and yet the real base to this point is that, if there was no "public need" for products that aren't biodegradeable or recycable, then they wouldn't be produced. One needs to ask oneself, what it is that one really needs - is wasting the future worth not dealing with a couple of self sacrifices now verses suffering tremendously in the future - "respect all that lives" Vous devez vous identifier ou créer un compte pour écrire des commentaires
